Coral

Coral needs a new home! She was just surrendered to the shelter. She is a blue tick coonhound/treeing walker coonhound mix, born summer 2016. She is very friendly and gets along great with other dogs. She does have a lot of energy, though she is young, and is a hunting breed. She is spayed and microchipped and ready for her new home. Come meet her! And even if you are not looking to adopt her, feel free to stop by during open hours and play with her or take her for walk. It will make her so happy, as she is a very social dog.

Karma

Karma

Karma

Karma needs a new home! The police were initially able to take her puppies due to neglect, but not her. However, circumstances ended up that mama Karma was able to make it safely out too! She appears to be an American Staffordshire terrier, roughly a year old. She will be spayed before leaving the shelter. She is just the sweetest thing you will ever meet! I can’t say enough good about her. (Though I admit, being a terrier owner myself, I do ever so much love them.) She sits nicely and will take a treat from your hand so gently and carefully. She is very social; she loves to be with people, and ever so much wants to be a part of someone’s family. She will rub on you and cuddle and even want to crawl in your lap if you let her. On walks, she does have some energy, being a terrier and all, but she isn’t too bad. Pulls a little, but she is very manageable. She seems to be fine with other dogs too. I took my own little terrier mix Gustav along on a walk with her, and the two sniffed when they met, and that was it. They walked peaceably the whole way. She was fine with the other recently adopted dog too, Skye. She has not yet been tested with cats, but does not seem to have a whole lot of drive to her like you can see in terriers. She shows little interest in chasing things, in other words. She is in general very gentle.

***Update*** A trip to the park, June 13.

Karma at Ramsey Park, with Gustav (Gustav NOT for adoption.)

What’s better than walking a terrier in the park? Walking two terriers! Gustav, my own faithful pup, invited Karma along to Ramsey Park today. The three of us had a great time. As you can see, Gustav and Karma enjoy each other’s company. You’d think they were old friends. Karma in general gets along great with other dogs. She walks pretty well too; she pulled a bit at first, but then settled into an easy pace. She was sad when we had to say goodbye; this dog wants to always be at the side of her person. She will be a wonderful, loyal, sweet companion for whoever adopts her. Cuddly too. 🙂 She loves being pet, and laying near you or on your lap. I’m hoping she gets her forever home soon! (Not that I don’t love her company, but she should be in a home, not a kennel at the shelter.)
