***Adopted!*** October

***Adopted!*** October
October, take April 4, 2019.

October is a mild mannered and friendly young cat who first arrived at the shelter through somewhat chaotic circumstances in October of 2018: She was giving birth all over someone’s yard and seemed to have no idea what to do! This isn’t too surprising, as she appears to be a kitten herself, likely born just the spring before. (Spring 2018.) She was given her own room at the shelter, where she amazingly took to caring for her five newborns ( Spooky, Lydia, Hocus, Pocus, and Gremlin.)

All of her kittens have since been adopted, and she is spayed and ready for a home of her own.

October gets to live in the front cat room, which is also the entry for all visitors. She so looks forwards to the arrival of the regular volunteers whom she has come to love!

October loves looking out windows, and hanging out in high places, such as the top of a cat tree. She would love to have some kind of high perch at her new home!

She can get overwhelmed by too much noise and activity, so very noisy, rambunctious children or a busy household would likely not be a good fit for her. She gets along great with other cats, and tolerates dogs she’s used to. I wouldn’t say she likes dogs, but she doesn’t mind them either as long as they leave her be.

October is up to date on her vaccines, tested negative for feline leukemia, has been dewormed and kept up to date on flea/ear mite preventative (Revolution.)

If you are interested in adopting, come visit her at the shelter anytime it’s open, no appointment necessary: M-F 2-6 and Sat 10-noon. You can also just stop in and give her or any other of our available critters some attention, even if you aren’t looking to adopt.
