Mist the sweet and somewhat shy shoulder cat is looking for a home!

Mist, taken April 16, 2019.

Born appx. 2017. Mist is a lovely patched tabby.

Mist was left behind when her owner moved out. However, as Mist was allowed to roam outside, the neighbor also knew Mist a bit. He told us that Mist would come to him and beg to be held, and that she loves hanging over shoulders. She’s a little lost at the shelter right now; she lost her owner and is now in a strange new place with new people and new cats. (It’s enough to overwhelm many people!) I expect once she settles in, we will see the sweetness return that was described to us by the neighbor.

She will be spayed shortly and will be updated on her vaccines. She has also received dewormings, been treated topically with a flea/ear mite preventative (Revolution), tested negative for feline leukemia, had a negative fecal float to test for internal parasites, and has had a medicated/antifungal bath.

If you are interested in adopting her, please call the shelter at 507-644-3853, or else stop in during open hours, no appointment necessary, and meet them: M-F 2-6 and Sat 10-Noon. Even if you aren’t looking to adopt, you are welcome to come play with the kitties and help socialize them!
