Lucy is a friendly, active, and affectionate dog who loves to play.
She loves to play, including fetch. She also loves getting her tummy rubbed. We were told she is quite cuddly with those she calls her own.
She is used to living in the country on 10 acres, where she spent times both in and outdoors. We were told she stays home pretty well, and has never run away. She is capable of climbing fences, though.
When she was indoors, we were told she is housetrained. (However, any dog in a new situation can have accidents until a new routine is established.) She is a very quiet dog; she rarely barks.
We were told she is playful with cats. She does not have any experience with other dogs, though has acted submissive with the ones she has met at the shelter. She is generally a submissive type of dog and gives up toys easily. She does not like swimming at all. (Hates water.)
Lucille was born in June of 2015.
We were told Lucille is a Tibetan Mastiff/Siberian husky/Bernese Mountain Dog mix.
Lucille has been spayed. She also comes up to date on her vaccines (rabies and distemper) as a part of her adoption fee. Lucy has been dewormed and treated with a flea/tick preventative (Vectra 3D).
She weighs in at 67 lbs and is full sized.
If you are interested in adopting, please call the shelter at 507-644-3853. You can also stop in and meet her during open hours, no appointment necessary: M-F 2-6 and Sat 10-Noon. Even if you aren’t looking to adopt, stop on in and play with her anyway! She’d love a good walk or some play.
