Nelson is a large and handsome cat who loves to talk to you and let you know how he feels. He is pretty chill as a whole, in case you can’t tell from his picture. He is very social. He is the kind of cat to come see what you’re up to and want to hand out with you and tell you how his day is going. He likes to complain about things that don’t go his way, but he is all meow. He is a very interesting character!

Nelson, May 5, 2019.

Nelson just got neutered, and has been updated on his vaccines. He has also been dewormed and received a topical flea/ear mite preventative (Revolution.) He has tested negative for feline leukemia, had a negative fecal float to check for internal parasites, and has received a medicated/ antifungal bath.

Nelson appears to be about a year old. He still has his scruffy teenage coat. He is indeed a longhaired cat, and we expect him to poof out a bit more as he ages. He is a large cat even now, at about 13 lbs. He will likely bulk up a bit more full sized.

Nelson was originally found trying to make his way into Riverside Vet on Friday, May 3. He had a blue dog collar on, but no identification. Surprisingly, no one came forward for this friendly and talkative fellow, so he now needs a new home.

If you are interested in adopting, please call the shelter at 507-644-3853, or else stop in during open hours; M-F 2-6 and Sat 10-Noon.
