Snowball is very sweet and affectionate; she craves attention! She loves to be with people as much as she can. At her former home, she lived with three young children, the youngest being about 3 years old, and got along great with them. She is very low key with other dogs too, even if the other dog gets sassy with her. She was kept as a house dog mostly, and is house trained.
Snow is an active young dog with a high need for exercise. She is also very smart with an active mind, so will need lots of toys and play time to keep her from getting bored and destructive. She would also love to learn new tricks. I believe that it would make her very happy to be able to exercise her mind as well as her body! She picks up on what you want very quickly. She is treat motivated, and tries really hard to figure out what you want for a treat. She would probably do very well at agility.
Snowball was born appx. summer 2018, and is very much in her lanky “teenager” stage.
She weighs in at 50 lbs., and while she may thicken up a little as she matures, is mostly full sized.
We were told by the previous owners that she is a German shepherd mix.
Note: She appears to have a food allergy that causes red skin and ear infections. We currently have her on a grain free diet.
Snowball will be spayed shortly as a part of her adoption fee. She has also been updated on her vaccinations, dewormed, and treated with a topical flea/tick/heartworm/mite preventative (Revolution.)
If you want to meet her, come down to the shelter while we’re open, no appointment necessary, M-F 2-6 and Sat 10-noon. You can also call the shelter at 507-644-3853. Even if you aren’t looking to adopt, come on in and give her or any of the other critters some attention!
