Brutus is a very sweet and laid back dog. He is large and a little clumsy, though. He was originally found as a stray in a bit of a state of neglect, but will fix up nicely with some proper food and care.
I can’t say enough nice about this dog! He gets along great with children, and with everyone he’s met so far. He is easygoing with new dogs and cats. He likes everyone.
He appears to have a bit of a food allergy. His skin is flaky and his fur thinned, which will likely fix within a few weeks to months on good food. I’d recommend a no soy/wheat/corn diet, or grain free. (He is on a lamb and oatmeal food at the shelter.)
He is 83 lbs., though needs to put some weight on.
He appears to be a mastiff cross.
He is about 2 years old.
He will be neutered as a part of his adoption fee, and will be up to date on his shots. He has also been treated with a topical flea/mite/heartworm preventative, and wormed.
If you are interested in adopting, stop by the shelter, no appointment necessary, and meet the critters looking for homes. We are open M-F 2-6 and Sat 10-noon. The shelter can also be reached at 507-644-3853. Even if you aren’t looking to adopt, you are welcome to stop on by and give some attention to the critters anyway.
