Chica

Chica

Chica needs a new home! Chica is a lovely spayed female shorthair kitty who is front declawed, She was born appx. 2013. She is a quiet sort of kitty, and very, very sweet; she loves to be pet. She will lay and be pet as long as you will have her. She is fine with other cats, and tolerated the two small dogs she was exposed to. She would likely do best in a quieter home without rambunctious small children.

Chica is front declawed and spayed. As a part of her adoption fee, she has also been dewormed, treated preventatively for giardia and coccidia, given a topical flea/ear mite preventative (Revolution), tested negative for feline leukemia, had a negative fecal float (tests for internal parasites), and has had an antifungal bath. She will also come up to date on her vaccines.

If you are interested in adopting Chica, please contact the shelter at 507-644-3853, or else stop in during open hours, M-F 3-7 and Sat 11-1. Even if you aren’t looking to adopt, feel free to stop in during open hours, no appointment necessary, to play with the critters.

Tinker

Tinker

Tinker needs a new home! This butterball weighs in at 19 lbs. Can you tell he was once the pampered house pet of a sweet retired lady? She sadly passed away, and now Tinker needs a new person to spoil him. He was gotten as a kitten and kept as a pampered house pet all his life. He is used to the good life! He’s got a lot of character and is quite outspoken. While he doesn’t like to be picked up, he does love to be pet and will lay beside you to get as much affection as you will give. He is fine with other cats, though doesn’t seem to know about dogs so much. He might get used to them with time. He was born on August 21, 2012, so will shortly be turning 6 years old.

Tinker has been neutered and will come up to date on his vaccines as a part of his adoption fee. He has been treated topically with a flea/ear mite preventative (Revolution), had a negative fecal float to check for internal parasites, and is feline leukemia negative.

If you are interested in adopting Tinker, please call the shelter at 507-644-3853, or stop in during open hours and meet him, no appointment necessary. (M-F 3-7 and Sat 11-1.) Even if you aren’t looking to adopt, feel free to stop in and play with the critters here; they love it!

Star

Star,

Star is ready for a home! Her kittens are weaned, she has been spayed, and now she is just waiting for a family of her own. Star is a lovely longhaired lynx point Siamese mix that was originally brought to the shelter nursing 6 kittens. She also came in with a very bad ear mite infestation which had caused a terrible ear infection and a hematoma in here left ear. The hematoma had already collapsed her ear by the time she got to the shelter, resulting in a cauliflower ear. Her ear is all there; the cartilage has just been collapsed. Her infection is gone and she is feeling good these days. Star is a quieter cat that would do best in a mature household. She is fine with other cats and is currently sharing a room with several.

Star has been spayed and is up to date on her vaccines. She has been wormed, treated topically with a flea/ear mite preventative (Revolution), had an antifungal bath, had a negative fecal float to check for internal parasites, and is feline leukemia negative.

If you are interested in adopting Star, please call the shelter at 507-644-3853, or stop in during open hours and meet her, no appointment necessary. (M-F 3-7 and Sat 11-1.) Even if you aren’t looking to adopt, feel free to stop in and play with the critters here; they love it!

Edgar

Edgar

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Edgar needs a new home! He is a 112 pound black lab or mix. (He was an unclaimed stray, so we don’t know his history.) We estimate him to be around 4 years old. He is very outgoing and friendly, though holds his enthusiasm in check pretty well; he bounce-dances, but doesn’t jump on people when he greets them.

Edgar has been neutered, dewormed, and treated topically with a flea/tick preventative, and will be up to date on his shots, all as a part of his adoption fee.

If you are interested in adopting Edgar, please call the shelter at 507-644-3853, or feel free to stop in during open hours, M-F 3-7 and Sat 11-1, no appointment necessary. Even if you aren’t looking to adopt, feel free to stop in and play with the critters; they love the attention while they wait for their new families!

Naya

Naya

Naya needs a new home! Naya is a sweet and happy 9 lb. Pomeranian. When she sees someone she loves, she does the sweetest little happy dance and has the hugest smile! Can you imagine coming home to that everyday? She is extremely cuddly and just loves spending time with those she knows and trusts. She is a bit nervous when it comes to strangers and too many goings on; too much activity and noise scare her. She is great with other dogs. She seems fine with cats once she knows them, though might try to sass them a bit at first.

Naya was just spayed and will come up to date on her vaccinations as a part of her adoption fee. She has also been wormed and treated topically with a flea/mite preventative.

If you are interested in adopting Naya, please call the shelter at 507-644-3853, or feel free to stop in during open hours, M-F 3-7 and Sat 11-1, no appointment necessary. Bear

Bear needs a new home! He is a three year old Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie.) A groomer stopped by yesterday and got him all trimmed up. Don’t you just love his new do? He was great for the groomer, even good about having his nails trimmed. He got a bath too, so even smells great. He weighs in at about 17 lbs. Bear loves people in general, and is good even for strangers. He loves to be picked up and held. We tested him with three different dogs; one huge, and two small, and he was pretty chill with all of them. He ignored the cats that we tested him with. He tugs a little on the leash when walked, but not too badly. With some training I think he’d be great. He is smart and sensitive. He loves treats; he warms up so quickly if some treats are involved. (That’s the secret for me getting him to smile for the picture.) If you are a bringer of treats, you are a bringer of happiness!

Bear has been neutered, groomed, bathed, nails trimmed, dewormed, treated topically with a flea/tick preventative, and will be up to date on his shots, all as a part of his adoption fee.

If you are interested in adopting Bear, please call the shelter at 507-644-3853, or feel free to stop in during open hours, M-F 3-7 and Sat 11-1, no appointment necessary. Even if you aren’t looking to adopt, feel free to stop in and play with the critters; they love the attention while they wait for their new families!
