Holland, Case, Massey, Moline, JD, and Oliver

Born appx. March 24, 2018. A tractor was brought into Redwood to be serviced, and came with 7 little stowaways. They were all given tractor names. They will be ready to go when they are 8 weeks old on May 20, 2018.

As a part of the adoption fee, each kitten will be spayed/neutered when old enough, and be up to date on vaccinations. They will have also been tested negative for feline leukemia, had a fecal float to check for internal parasites, be up to date on wormings, up to date on giardia/coccidia preventative, given an antifungal bath, and be up to date on topical flea/ear mite preventative (Revolution).

If you are interested in adopting one (or two!) feel free to call or stop in to the shelter during open hours, M-F 3-7 and Sat 11-1. Even if you aren’t looking to adopt, you are welcome to come play with the kittens during open hours, no appointment necessary

Wolfey needs a home! Wolfey is one of three siblings that were born on February 13, 2018, making him about 9 weeks old. He is a longhaired blue kitten with the tiniest little white dot on his neck. He is really fluffy, even for a longhaired cat. He is quite silly and playful.

Roo

Roo

Roo

Roo needs a new home! No one came to claim this sweet little lab mix, so now she is looking for a new family to call her own. Roo’s adult incisors are just starting to come in, so she is around 4 months old, just a puppy still. She is very sweet; she loves to cuddle into you and soaks up any attention you will give her. She has a lot of energy. She got her name because she jumps like a kangaroo when she sees a person, she gets so excited. She calms down pretty quickly when she realizes that is what you want. She is not yet 30 lbs, and while she still has some growing to do, will probably be on the small side for a lab.

Roo will be spayed and up to date on her vaccinations as a part of her adoption fee. She has also been treated with a flea/tick/mite preventative and wormed.

Come meet her! If you are interested in adopting, please call the shelter at 507-644-3853, or else stop in during open hours. (M-F 3-7 and Sat 11-1.) No appointment necessary. Even if you aren’t looking to adopt, she as well as the other critters here would love some attention!

Charly

Charly

Charly needs a new home! Charly is a handsome young striped brown tabby. He was born in July 2017. He is neutered and is all four declawed, and was surrendered with all of his supplies to go to his new owner upon his adoption. (These include a pet taxi, a pair of litter boxes with a scoop, some blankets, an automatic feeder, a water bowl, treats, toys, and whatever food he has leftover by the time he is adopted.) When he was at home, he was a very social and friendly kitty who was good even with strangers. (He is a little scared right now at the shelter, but we hope to see his personality come out soon as he settles in.) The only people he wasn’t so sure of were little kids. He seems to like a quieter sort of home. He was an only pet, but seems to be adapting to other cats at the shelter. He does not like dogs though; he is very frightened of them.

Charly is neutered, all four declawed, and up to date on his vaccinations. He is also current on his wormings, treated with a topical flea/tick/ear mite preventative (Revolution), given an antifungal bath, had a negartive fecal float to test for internal parasite, and is Felv and FIV negative.

If you are interested in adopting Charly, please call the shelter at 507-644-3853, or stop in during open hours, M-F 3-7 and Sat 11-1. Even if you aren’t looking to adopt, feel free to stop in, no appointment necessary, and play with the critters.

Rex

Rex

Rex needs a new home! He is a handsome and friendly black lab/Newfoundland cross who is about 9 months old. He is friendly with everyone he meets, including strangers. He likes other dogs, and is good with cats. He does have a lot of energy, as he is a puppy still, and he is part lab. He loves to fetch and play with toys. He loves car rides, and playing in the snow. It’s hard to tell in the photos, but his fur is a bit thicker than your average lab, somewhere between a lab’s coat and a newfie’s coat. He was previously kept as an outdoor farm dog and never roamed. He does not resource guard at all, and gives up toys easily.

Rex will be neutered and updated on his vaccinations as a part of his adoption fee. He has also been wormed and given a topical flea/tick/mite preventative.

If you are interested in adopting Rex, call the shelter at 507-644-3853 or stop in during open hours: M-F 3-7 and Sat 11-1. Even if you aren’t looking to adopt, feel free to stop in and play with him or take him for a walk; he’d love the attention while he waits for a home!

Teddy Bear

No one came to claim this sweet floofer, so Teddy Bear is now available for adoption. We believe him to be an Australian shepherd mix, though that is just a guess, as he was found as a stray. We estimate him to be about 3-4 years old. He is very sweet and tolerant, and doesn’t jump on people. He let me deburr him (he was totally covered in burrs on arrival) and bathe him without fuss. He didn’t seem to like the bath all that well, but he cuddled up into me anyway. (Or maybe he just wanted me to be wet too.) He’ll let you handle him all over without fuss, even his tail. He loves to cuddle into one’s lap and be pet. He can’t seem to get enough! He needs to put some weight on, but should be around 70 lbs when he’s at a good weight. He does get a bit cautious around new dogs, but has not acted out beyond barking at the dog he doesn’t like. It reminds me of how a typical Pyrenees reacts to new dogs. When introduced to my little terrier mix, once he realized that the little guy was harmless, he seemed fine with him. He would likely be choosy of any other dog he may live with. He seems to be okay with cats, though will back away in fright if the cat swats at him.

As a part of his adoption fee, Teddy Bear will come neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, wormed, groomed and bathed, and treated topically with a flea/tick/mite preventative.

If you are interested in adopting him, please call the shelter at 507-644-3853, or else feel free to stop in during open hours, no appointment necessary. (M-F 3-7 and Sat 11-1) Even if you aren’t looking to adopt, feel free to stop by and give our critters some love while they wait for a forever home!
